Naomi Birthday

Naomi turned 1 on November 11th. She had a birthday party the weekend before. Here is a video with her cake.

Day at the Park

This weekend was very warm (high in the 70s), so we took Naomi and the dogs to a park near our house on Sunday. Here are some pics from our outing.

Halloween

Halloween has come and past. Naomi got to wear her costume and we took her to see some friends. Here she is wearing the main part of her panda costume. She liked this part of the costume.

Naomi's Halloween Costume

Naomi is going to be a panda for her first Halloween. Here are some pics (thanks to Mary) of her in costume.

Naomi is 11 months old, a month until her first birthday. She is crawling, pulling herself up, walking laterally holding onto fixed objects. Here is a video of her feeding herself green beans.

The past few weeks have been very busy with the start of a new semester. Naomi is crawling. She started with the army crawl but now prefers the more traditional crawl. Here is a video of her crawling (she is quite fast when she wants something (usually the dogs), but is a little slower when you are trying to coax her to crawl).

End of Summer

39 weeks

Naomi is 39 weeks today. We were a little off about her weight. She is actually about 17 lbs. Here is Naomi wishing Alex Hardy a (one-day belated) happy first birthday and a video of her laughing at Homer.

38 weeks

It is August and Naomi's unofficial weight is 19 lbs (weighed at home and not by the doctor). Here is a picture or her playing on my laptop, she enjoys pressing the keys so we downloaded a program that basically locks out your keyboard and responds to keystrokes with flashing shapes. Below is an old picture of Homer on a laptop as well.

37 Weeks

Naomi has been taking swimming lessons with Brian. Basically, this means they go to the pool for an hour every day and Brian holds Naomi while she splashes in the water and laughs at the other babies who are crying. Here she is in her swimsuit, which she picked out herself at the store and insisted on holding all the way home.

36 weeks

Since it is summer and Naomi seems to like the water (she enjoys playing in the bath), we decided to see if she would enjoy a kiddie pool (the dogs think it is a giant water dish or bath tub, thus they stay away from it or drink from it). Here are some pics of her in her bathing suit.

35 weeks

Naomi continues to combine different sounds and eat all kinds of different solids. She is not a fan of green vegetables so far. Here are some pictures of her in some pajamas. Thanks to Aunt Mary for these pictures.

Naomi's talking!!! Well, sort of...

Naomi has begun to put sounds together that are more than a single syllable. Here is a video of her saying ba ba (with Emily). We look forward to more phrases.

34 weeks

Naomi had several visitors this past weekend. She enjoyed playing with all of them and cannot wait until they come back and visit her again. She displayed her range of emotions to them. Here are a few pictures where she showed them several different emotions (as you can tell, she enjoys holding a remote control). Thanks to Aunt Mary for taking these pictures.

33 weeks

Naomi is going to get several visitors for her first fourth of July weekend. Here she is in a Cardinals outfit (her Mom's favorite team).

Meeting of the Minds

This weekend, Naomi got to meet her BFF Alex Hardy. Alex was nice enough to share her toys with Naomi. We're hoping Naomi will be inspired by seeing Alex crawl and walk.

32 weeks

Naomi is now 32 weeks old and laughing quite a bit. Here is a video of one of her greatest sources of joy, Homer.

30 weeks

Naomi got over her first cold and then immediately got her second cold. We are still behind on posting and other things (our yard is slowly becoming a jungle). Naomi had some visitors last weekend (Emily's Dad and sister Mary). Here are pics from their trip.

28 Weeks

26 Weeks Old

Naomi's Ye Ye, Nai Nai, and Gu Gu visited her this past weekend. Naomi showed them her range of sounds and her ability to roll. Here is a video of both.

Naomi is 25 weeks old and is quite the kicker. She loves to kick (and splash) when taking a bath.
